Nigerian-born American singer, songwriter and author, Cecil Ifeanyi Kalu, popularly known as Don Cecils, has called on Africans and the global community to reject hatred, division and war, urging people to embrace peace, unity and shared humanity.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Dailytrailnews.com, the internationally acclaimed artiste said his newly released two-track EP, Remember (We Are One) and Rhythm Africa, was inspired by growing hostility among African nations and the increasing wave of global conflicts.

Don Cecils said he was deeply saddened by reports of Africans turning against one another, citing incidents of xenophobic attacks and hostility in parts of the continent. According to him, Africans share a common heritage and should work together rather than allow division to weaken the continent.

He stressed that the message behind Remember (We Are One) goes beyond Africa, noting that wars and conflicts across the world continue to claim innocent lives, destroy infrastructure and leave lasting emotional and economic scars on societies.

The singer questioned the rationale behind wars, saying no conflict produces true winners because both sides inevitably suffer devastating losses. He urged world leaders and citizens alike to embrace dialogue, understanding and reconciliation instead of violence.
