Former IGP Mike Okiro Hosts CityBoy Movement Flag in Abia, Applauds Seyi Tinubu for Creating Movement

Former Inspector-General of Police, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, has officially hosted the flag of the CityBoy Movement during a visit to the CityBoy Movement Abia State Headquarters, where he commended the movement’s Patron, Seyi Tinubu, for creating the platform.

CityBoy Movement, Abia State Chapter said Sir Mike Okiro, who was received by the State Director of the CityBoy Movement, Abia State Chapter, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, applauded the Patron Seyi Tinubu for the initiative, describing the creation of the CityBoy Movement as a significant step towards strengthening grassroots mobilisation and political participation.

The former IGP also expressed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and called on members and supporters of the movement to remain committed to the President’s political agenda. He urged members to work collectively and use their democratic rights to support President Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the occasion, the State Director, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, applauded Patron Seyi Tinubu for the vision behind the CityBoy Movement and commended Sir Mike Okiro for officially hosting the movement’s flag.

Mayor Igbokwe also applauded the Director General of the CityBoy Movement, Hon. Francis Shoga, the National Executives and the National Working Committee for their leadership, vision and continued efforts in building and strengthening the movement across the country.

He described the occasion as a significant moment for the Abia State Chapter, noting that the growing structure of the movement reflects the commitment of its leadership and members to grassroots mobilisation.

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe reaffirmed the commitment of the Abia State Chapter to the objectives of the CityBoy Movement and expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be re-elected in the 2027 elections.

He called on members and supporters across Abia State to remain united, organised and committed as the movement continues to expand its grassroots structure and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
