APGA Presents Certificates of Return, Urges Candidates to Remain Loyal to Party
The Abia State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ambassador Sunday Onukwubiri, has expressed confidence in the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections, declaring that they possess the credibility and grassroots support needed to defeat their opponents at the polls.
Speaking during the presentation of Certificates of Return to the party’s candidates at the APGA State Secretariat in Umuahia, Onukwubiri described the event as a landmark achievement, noting that it was the first time the party had organised such a ceremony in the state.
He said the exercise was aimed at demonstrating the party’s preparedness for the 2027 elections and dispelling claims that APGA was not actively participating in the electoral process.
The state chairman maintained that the party’s candidates emerged through a transparent process without political imposition, stressing that they purchased their nomination forms independently and earned the confidence of party members.
Onukwubiri said the quality of APGA’s candidates gives the party every reason to believe they will perform well during the elections, adding that their acceptance within their constituencies distinguishes them from candidates imposed by other political parties.

He also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting all its candidates throughout the electioneering campaign and called on them to remain loyal to APGA after winning elective offices.
