Happiness Galore, Support as Erondu Empowers Hundreds, Endorses Benjamin Okezie Kalu for 2027

It was indeed happiness galore as beneficiaries, friends and political associates showered praises on the member representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, during a mega empowerment programme held in celebration of his birthday.

The large-scale initiative saw the distribution of over 150 motorcycles, about 15 vehicles and cash support to hundreds of beneficiaries, aimed at boosting small businesses, creating employment and improving livelihoods.

In her goodwill message, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, lauded the scale of the programme, noting it was uncommon for a first-term lawmaker, stressing that if given the opportunity to serve in higher capacity, the Obingwa West Lawmaker would create more far-reaching impact.

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Abia state Chijioke Chukwu eulogized Erondu, and expressed confidence in the ability of the All Progressives Congress APC to record landslide victory in Obingwa due to Erondu’s track record of impactful leadership and representation.

Speaking also, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, represented by his DG Campaign Organization Emma Trumps Eke noted that such empowerment initiatives help to reduce youth restiveness by promoting self-reliance.

Speaking at the event, Erondu Jnr said the programme was part of his commitment to improving the economic wellbeing of the people through sustainable empowerment, particularly for youths, women and vulnerable groups. He urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items to grow their businesses and support their families as he used the opportunity to reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu.

The event attracted political leaders and stakeholders across party lines, including members of the APC and People’s Democratic Party, in what was described as a rare “rainbow coalition”.

The highpoint of the event saw Erondu Jnr move a motion for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, to contest the 2027 Abia governorship election which he said has the total support of the rainbow coalition which includes the APC and the PDP.

Dailytrail news reports that the event saw the presence of former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Chris Akomas, who announced additional financial support for beneficiaries and stakeholders, Chairman of the occasion, Dee Sam Nkire, Chairman of the Organising Committee, Hon. Chief Chidiebere Ihenyirimmadu, former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Christopher O. Enweremadu, former member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike, amongst other notable personalities.

The former Governor of Abia State, who is the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, represented by his wife, Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu also delivered a profound goodwill message, commending Erondu for his commitment towards continuously impacting lives and humanity.
