Stop Governing from Private Residence, Kalu Tells Otti, Dismisses Rift in Abia APC, Vows Party Will Capture Government House in 2027

The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has dismissed speculations of a rift within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, pledging that the party would have a strong showing in the 2027 general election.


Kalu who spoke on Friday when he addressed supporters at his residence in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, said party members were more united than ever and determined to deliver the state for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

The Senator said the APC, will deliver President Tinubu and sweep every available elective position in Abia State by the 2027 elections, stressing that his party is united to take over the Government House, Umuahia and other elective positions.

The Abia North Senator, who declared his support for the recently concluded APC State Congress in Abia, further advised Governor Alex Otti to stop operating from his private residence in Isiala Ngwa, saying that Otti’s continued abandonment of Government House Umuahia, is affecting the economy of the State capital.

Meanwhile, his younger brother, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, reaffirmed his ambition to contest the Abia State governorship election on the APC platform in 2027, as he urged party members to remain committed, expressing confidence that the APC would reclaim the state in the next election.
