Enough Is Enough” — Abia Lawmaker Akaniro Decries Destruction of Farmlands in Umuahia North by Alleged Herdsmen, Urges Gov Otti to Intervene

The member representing Umuahia North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Anderson Akaniro, has condemned the activities of herdsmen allegedly destroying farmlands across communities in the area.


Speaking during a radio program “Open Parliament” on Family Love FM, monitored by Dailytrailnews, the lawmaker expressed concern over the growing complaints from farmers whose crops and farmlands have reportedly been devastated by herders.


Akaniro noted that many affected farmers are demanding urgent intervention and support from the government and relevant authorities to prevent further losses and protect their livelihoods.

The lawmaker further disclosed steps he has taken to address the situation, including bringing the matter to the attention of the Abia State Government.


He called on Alex Otti to take decisive action to safeguard farmers and ensure food production is protected across the state.
