Onyeizu Commiserates with Families of Slain Soldiers, Appeals for Calm
Engr Chinedu Onyeizu, the Labour Party’s senatorial candidate in Abia South in the 2023 general election and CEO of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park, has reacted to the killings of the men of the Nigerian Army in Aba in recent times.
In his message of condolence, Onyeizu commiserated with the families of the slain soldiers and the Nigerian Army over what he described as a ‘devastating loss’, and appealed for calm and peace. He further regretted that the latest incident, which occurred at Obilkabia junction of Aba on 30th May, 2023 and resulted in the death of five soldiers, will bring a huge setback to the efforts at restoring the peace to the southeast region of the country.
While appealing to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the state not to allow the unfortunate incident to push them into a reprisal, he admonished the youth to give peace a chance, as no meaningful development can be recorded in an atmosphere of violence.
