Abia Lawmaker, Erondu Jnr, Felicitates Obi Cubana on Chieftaincy Title in Anambra
The lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has joined prominent Nigerians to felicitate the chieftaincy conferment of renowned businessman and philanthropist, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, in his hometown of Oba, Anambra State.
The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service Matters, Abia House of Assembly, attended the historic ceremony alongside his friend, a former Imo State gubernatorial candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as Obi Cubana was honoured with the traditional title of Okpataozueora of Oba by the Oba Traditional Council.
Speaking on the occasion, the Abia lawmaker congratulated Chief Iyiegbu on the well-deserved honour, describing the conferment as a recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development, youth empowerment, and philanthropy across the South-East and Nigeria at large.

The former Chairman, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state, noted that Obi Cubana’s rise from humble beginnings to becoming a respected business leader and cultural ambassador serves as an inspiration to young people, particularly in the region.
The chieftaincy ceremony, which attracted traditional rulers, political leaders, captains of industry, and cultural enthusiasts, was marked by colourful displays of Igbo culture, music, and dance, underscoring the deep-rooted traditions of the Oba community.
Obi Cubana, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the Oba community and traditional institution for the honour, pledging to continue supporting community development and preserving Igbo cultural values.
