500 Beneficiaries Smile Home as Osonwa Delivers Massive Empowerment Package

In his effort to open up rural communities, boost agriculture and employment, empower and address constituents’ needs, as well as alleviate poverty and economic hardship, the member representing Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Osonwa of the Labour Party (LP), has held a Mega Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation Programme, where about 500 people benefited from various support initiatives.

Speaking during the event at Ohafia LGA premises, which saw the presence of the Deputy Governor of Abia State Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu who represented the Governor Alex Otti, as well as Hon. Ginger Onwusibe; the House of Reps member for Isiala Ngwa North/ South Constituency, Hon. Osonwa reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, noting that as a leader, he will continue to work tirelessly for the welfare and development of his people.

Speaking also, the Deputy, Engr. Emetu, an indigene of the constituency, described the event as a powerful testament to purposeful representation that goes beyond empowerment, thus making leadership more impactful.

Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, while speaking commended the lawmaker for the initiative, urging beneficiaries to make proper use of the items received and to continue supporting his efforts.

The empowerment programme saw the procurement of two Brand New Road-grading Machineries (Grader and Payloader) for the opening and grading of rural Farm Roads in his Constituency by the Hon. Member.

Other Items distributed were Bags of rice, mini buses, motorcycles, Generators, Vulcanizing, Hairdressing tools, Sewing Machines, grinders, etc.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation, highlighting their joy and gratitude for the support provided.
