Onyeizu Commends Governor Otti’s Transformational Strides, Assures on Realization of AIIP, First Southeast Deep Seaport in Abia State

Engr Chinedu Onyeizu, the Labour Party’s Senatorial Candidate in Abia South in the 2023 general election and CEO of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park, AIIP, has commended Governor Alex Otti for the transformational strides across Abia State within one year in office.

Congratulating the governor on the occasion of his one year in office, Onyeizu noted that Abia State has witnessed unprecedented development in all sectors of the Abia economy since 29th May, 2023 when the governor took the reins of leadership of Abia State.

Reiterating Governor Otti’s commitment to making Aba the industrial hub of Nigeria, Onyeizu reassured on the realization of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park project at Owaza in Ukwa West LGA. He announced the readiness of over eight foreign and local investors waiting to break ground at the industrial park, with Belloxy Group and Vaco Gas Limited currently at the stage of subscription

According to the CEO, the first project expected to be executed will be the modular refinery company, which will be followed by the marine city; where the first South East deep seaport at Obaku in Ukwa East will be executed by CRCC Harbour & Channel Engineering Group and Stantech Engineering Limited . He also announced the plan for a 500MW power project to be undertaken by Mundus Afrique, a New York-based power company in AIIP.

Chinedu assured Abians of the Governor’s commitment to these major capital projects that promise measurable transformation to the industrial landscape of Abia and Nigeria as a whole. In his media brief early this morning, he told journalists that AIIP just completed commercial and technical feasibility studies with KPMG and the Dubai-based Ove Arup International respectively and that in no distant time, earth-moving equipment will be rolled into the AIIP site for commencement of massive construction.

According to Onyeizu, the industrial transformation of Abia State is among the campaign promises of the Governor, and he is not leaving any stone unturned.
