Erondu Jnr Visits Don Lulu, Offers Words of Comfort After Mother’s Burial

The Lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr on Sunday, January 11th 2026 paid a condolence visit to businessman, philanthropist and media entrepreneur Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (popularly known as Don Lulu), at his residence, following the burial of his mother Late Dame Peace Igbokwe which held on Saturday, 10th January 2026.

The visit was aimed at identifying with Don Lulu and his family in their moment of grief and to offer words of consolation after what the Abia lawmaker described as the painful loss of a mother.

Speaking during the visit, Erondu Jnr who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Service Matters, Abia House of Assembly urged Don Lulu to remain strong and take solace in the impactful life his late mother lived, noting that the true measure of a fulfilled life is the positive legacy left behind.

He encouraged him to uphold the values of love, unity, and service which, he said, the deceased evidently instilled in her children.

The former Chairman, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state, further reminded Don Lulu that while the pain of losing a loved one may linger, time, faith, and the support of family and friends would bring healing. He prayed for better days ahead which he said will be occasioned by joyful moments and not sadness.

Dailytrail news reports that the visit also saw the presence of the Deputy Governor of Abia state Engr Ikechukwu Emetu who came with his entourage. The duo exchanged pleasantries before departing. Also among the dignitaries was the Member representatng Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency Hon. Rowland Ceaser Chikwendu.

In his response, Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) expressed profound gratitude to Erondu Jnr for the visit, describing it as a show of genuine friendship and concern. He thanked him for the words of encouragement and prayers, noting that such gestures provided strength and comfort to him and his family during the period of mourning.

Don Lulu also appreciated all well-wishers who stood by his family throughout the burial ceremonies, assuring that the family remains thankful for the overwhelming support and solidarity received.
