“Though commendable, but you watered down the design of Omenuko Bridge” – Nkole tells Otti

The former Member that represented Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal Constituency in the 8th/9th assembly Hon. Uko Nkole has described the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Government as one with vision as the party can boast of verifiable records of performance in Nigeria and in Abia.


Speaking as a guest on Family Love FM’s Flagship program Open Parliament, monitored by Dailytrailnews, Hon. Nkole posited that based on records, the PDP present the best alternative to Abians and Nigerians at large as it concerns democratic governance and it dividends, stressing that the non initiation of new project by the Alex Otti administration and the retrofitting of projects initiated by the PDP Government gives credence to the assertion that PDP has vision which he said Otti was building on.

The former Rep Member maintained that the social implication of the current economic realities was adversely affecting Nigerians and Abians in particular as the subsidy removal has put more money in the pockets of the governors which he said does not reflect on the lives of the people.
He alleged that there was lack of transparency and accountability in the current administration in Abia as regards funds accrued to the state and the concomitant works on the ground.

Speaking on the execution of the Omenuko Bridge by Governor Otti, Hon. Nkole commended the governor for seeing to completion of the project, but however observed that what is done on the ground is not reflective of the technical details hitherto presented, stressing that the governor “watered down the design

The former Lawmaker further expressed worry that the technical and financial details was not consistent with what has been done on the bridge, stressing that this might make it difficult for the Federal Government to refund the state the money expended on the project in the future, which he said translates to loss of revenue for the state.
