The Managing Director of Chicotas Nig. Ltd, a revenue Consulting firm based in Aba Hon. Uchendu Ahuruonye, has called on Governor Alex Otti to intervene in the alleged blatant refusal of the Aba South Local Government and its current Mayor Hon Anyanwu Arinze Obilor to obey the judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, over the right to collect revenue for the aba South LGA.

Narrating his ordeal to newsmen, which he said has lingered since 2014, the MD Chicotas Nig. Ltd Ahuruonye noted that the issue started after a contract was entered by Aba South LGA with Chicotas Nig. L.t.d sometime in -2014, as the contractor to recover revenue for Aba South L. G A for a period of one year.

The Chicotas MD further revealed that the company at the time exhibited uncommon capacity by coming to the rescue of the Council in addressing its financial short falls, leading to Chicotas incurring huge debts to the tune of 42 million naira, which he said has remained unpaid till date.

He further narrated that after the signing of the contract, the leadership of Aba South and its successive regimes have neither allowed CHICOTAS to perform the contract nor refunded him the monies owed to the company, which he said left the revenue consulting firm with no other option than to sue the Aba South LGA for breach of contract/agreement.

He said Judgment was finally delivered against Aba South Local Government mandating it to specifically allow CHICOTAS to carry out the contract for the time in question without interference, since the Council could not make refunds.

Obilor on the way forward with regards to a peaceful resolution to the said matter.
