Yorubas and Igbos are one, no rivalry in Abia – PG Yoruba Community
The Yoruba United Community in Abia State has reiterated that the unity between the Igbo and Yorubas is still intact, condemning the recent “IgboMustGo” slogan, which trended in Lagos in recent times.
Speaking on Family Love FM’s interactive programme “Abia Trends”, the President General of the Yoruba United Community, Abia State, Okikiade Yusuf maintained that the perceived crisis between the Yoruba and the Igbo is political stressing that Abians are accommodating and loving.
Yusuf who was recently re-elected for a second term to champion the course of the community for another three years, said he has been living in Abia state for over 26 years, adding that some other yorubas have also spent 30 to 40 years, some even born in the state, as he maintained that love and unity amongst tribes in Nigeria will promote growth, development and prosperity.

The Yoruba Leader in Abia called on those residing in the state to contribute to the overall wellbeing of the state and support the government in power by paying their taxes as he commended the government of Dr Alex Otti for what he described as doing well within his one year plus in office.
