Exactly two weeks after the presidential election, the Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to upload the complete results from all polling units unto its Results Viewing portal better known as IReV.

Checks by our correspondent showed that so far, the commission has uploaded 166, 168  results from 176, 846 polling units. A figure that represents 93.96 per cent of results from all the polling units.

With only 166,168 results uploaded, it shows that results from 10,678 polling units are yet to be uploaded unto the commission’s result viewing portal.

Nigerians expected that the election results would be uploaded on election day as promised by the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

Consequently, INEC came under fire for its failure to upload the results to its viewing portal, which led to the walkout of some party agents at the National Collation Centre in Abuja.

Recall that despite the agitation from opposition parties, INEC declared the candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, as President-elect, having polled almost 8.8 million votes, while main opposition candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi had 6.9 million and 6.1 million votes respectively.
