CityBoy Movement Abia Tasks LGA Coordinators on Grassroots Mobilisation, Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election
Igbokwe to CityBoy Coordinators: Take Ownership, Build Structures, Deliver Results
The Abia State Director of the CityBoy Movement (CBM), Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has charged coordinators across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation and deliver measurable results ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Igbokwe gave the charge during a strategic meeting with the movement’s LGA coordinators, where he commended them for their commitment, sacrifices and continued support for the organisation.
The State Director said the movement was united by a common objective of mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
He urged the coordinators to take ownership of the movement at the grassroots by expanding membership, strengthening ward structures and increasing voter outreach across their respective LGAs.
Igbokwe stressed that leadership positions within the movement must be matched with performance, urging coordinators to demonstrate capacity and produce tangible results.
“We have one interest, and that is to bring back our President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Every LGA coordinator must understand the responsibility that comes with the position. We need results.
We need you to go to the grassroots, mobilise, build structures and show what you can achieve.”
He further assured the coordinators that the national leadership of the CityBoy Movement remained firmly committed to supporting the Abia chapter.
Igbokwe urged them to remain disciplined, united and focused while maintaining effective relationships with ward executives, members and other stakeholders.
He also commended the coordinators for their loyalty and contributions toward expanding the movement across the state.
In their separate responses, the LGA coordinators expressed appreciation to Igbokwe for his leadership, accessibility and commitment to building a stronger CityBoy Movement in Abia.
They reaffirmed their loyalty to the State Director and pledged to intensify mobilisation, expand membership and strengthen grassroots structures in their respective LGAs.
The coordinators also expressed confidence in Igbokwe’s leadership, assuring him that the LGA structures would remain united and committed to achieving the objectives of the movement.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by the coordinators to take the CityBoy Movement’s message to wards and communities across Abia, with emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, membership expansion, stronger structures and support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
