God Has Set You as a Leadership Model – Cindy Jacobs Tells Otti as Abia Unveils Smart Schools Plan

American Gospel Minister and Co-Founder of Generals International, Cindy Jacobs, has declared that God has positioned the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, as a model for leadership and governance.

Jacobs made the declaration on Saturday, May 2, during a National Thanksgiving Worship Service at The Father’s House Church, where Governor Otti attended as a special guest.

Speaking at the interdenominational gathering, the visiting cleric said she envisioned widespread road construction across Abia State, linking rural communities and enabling farmers to transport produce more efficiently. She added that divine provision would sustain the infrastructure drive.

Jacobs further prophesied that the governor would implement transformative policies that would position Abia as one of the most educated states in the region, noting that education would play a key role in lifting citizens out of poverty.

Responding, Governor Otti revealed that his administration has consistently committed 35 percent of the state’s annual budget to education and healthcare, with 20 percent allocated to education and 15 percent to health. He disclosed that 5,394 teachers have already been recruited, with an additional 4,000 in the pipeline.

The governor also announced that three newly constructed smart schools would be commissioned before the end of the month, as part of efforts to strengthen the education sector.

Addressing the congregation, Otti emphasized the need for Christians, particularly leaders, to align their actions with their faith, describing leadership as a call to service. He stressed that righteousness remains critical to national development, warning that wrongdoing undermines prayers.

The thanksgiving service, organised to pray for peace and national renewal amid ongoing security challenges, attracted prominent religious leaders and stakeholders, including former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, who described Governor Otti as a shining example of good governance in Nigeria.
