Bola Ahmed Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Ticket in Landslide as Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr Hails Transparent Primary
The APC Senatorial Candidate for Abia South Senatorial District, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 General Elections following his resounding victory at the party’s presidential primary election.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, George Egejuru, Erondu Jnr described President Tinubu’s emergence as a clear demonstration of the confidence, trust and widespread support he enjoys among APC members and Nigerians across the country.
The lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly noted that the President’s overwhelming victory further affirmed the unity, strength and internal democratic culture of the APC, adding that the peaceful and transparent conduct of the primary election once again distinguished the ruling party.
Erondu Jnr commended President Tinubu for subjecting himself to a credible democratic process despite being the nation’s leader and leader of the ruling party, stressing that the move further reflects his commitment to democratic ideals, accountability and good governance.
According to him, the outcome of the primary election also signals Nigerians’ continued confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda and the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition the country for sustainable growth and national development.
The former Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area equally applauded APC faithful across the federation for their maturity, discipline and commitment throughout the exercise. He also praised the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, alongside other party leaders, for ensuring a peaceful, smooth and credible process in Abia State.
President Tinubu secured a landslide victory at the primary election, polling 10,999,162 votes to defeat his lone challenger, Stanley Osifo, who garnered 16,503 votes before conceding defeat.
Expressing optimism ahead of the 2027 general elections, Erondu Jnr urged party members to remain united, focused and committed to the collective vision of moving Nigeria forward under the leadership of President Tinubu and the APC.
