Police Arrest Reverend Sister, 4 Others in Connection with abduction of Ikwuano Rescued Kids

The Police in Abia state have arrested a Reverend Sister, three other females and one male for theirs various involvement in the abduction of the now rescued children of same parents in Amaoba-Ime Oboro Ikwuano LGA.

In a statement by Abia State Police Public Relations Officer ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Police announced that all the three children have been rescued and reunited with their family.

The suspects, arrested variously at Amawbia and Nkpor in Anambra State, as well as Warri in Delta State, include Reverend Sister Pauline Alozie (female), Chizoba DJ (female), Glory Umuna (female), Mrs. Georgina Nonye Okoye (female), and Philip Ibe (male)

The statement added that they are currently in the custody of the police and will soon be charged to court.

The Abia State Police Command appreciated the collaboration of various stakeholders, such as the Mayor of Ikwuano LGA, Mr. Osinachi Nwaka, and Abia State Homeland Security, amongst others, towards the rescue of the children.

She advised the public to stay security-conscious and ensure children’s safety and cautioned parents against leaving their children with unfamiliar persons, and report suspicious persons with children to the Police or other security agencies, via 08035415406, 08079210004, 08079210003, 08079210005, or contact the nearest police station or police personnel.
