APGA reacts to Ikwechegh’s assault saga, apologizes to victim, Nigerians

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia State Chapter led by Ambassador Sunday Onukwubiri says its attention has been drawn to what it described as the unfortunate incident that look place on 27/10/24 in Abuja which led to the assault of a bolt driver, one Mr. Stephen Abuwatseye by Hon. Alex Ikwuechegh, member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.


A statement signed by State Publicity Secretary APGA Abia State Barr. Chukwuemeka Nwokoro said APGA family in Abia wishes to apologize to the victim of the assault and to all Nigerians for the unguided actions and utterances of their member, Hon. Alex Ikwuechegh.


The party in the statement further commend Hon. Alex Ikwuechegh for the bold step he has taken by promptly apologizing to the victim of the assault, his constituents, the noble members of the green chambers and to the entire Nation at large.


The party assured all Abians and Nigerians in general that the ugly incident will never repeat itself again among its members as the party is poised to keep and to consistently maintain her revered slogan of BE YOUR BROTHER’S AND SISTER’S KEEPER.


It added that it is the spirit behind the slogan as a political party that led to the prompt apology from Hon. Alex Ikwuechegh and the party in Abia State.
