APGA denies collapsing structure in Abia into ADC
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia State Chapter has described as baseless and unfounded news making the rounds in the State that APGA in Abia South senatorial zone has collapsed its structures into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State.
APGA, in statement by its Abia state Publicity Secretary Barr. Chukwumeka Nwokoro noted that the said report is an outright falsehood and the handiwork of few mischief makers who double as political paupers looking for what to eat and the only way they can feed their stomach is by peddling unfounded and baseless report in order to actualize their political greed and selfishness.
The statement maintained that APGA in Abia is intact, strong and formidable as all the APGA structures in the three political zones of Abia State are functioning optimally within their respective zones and in the State at large adding that the party remains formidable and prepared to take over the Abia government house, come 2027.
According to the statement, Chief Charles Nwanyanwu who was mentioned as the originator of what it calls the baseless and unfounded news is not a member of APGA as his name is not in APGA ward register in ward 6, Aba South where he comes from adding that the said Chief Charles Nwanyanwu resigned from APGA since 2020 and joined PDP and that the party record from his ward 6 in Aba South L G A shows that he has not been readmitted into the party after his resignation in 2020.
The statement maintained that APGA in Abia State has been intact and performing well under the leadership of Elder Ambassador Sunday Onukwubiri as the State Chairman, stressing that that there is no crisis in APGA from the Wards down to the Local Government Areas and in the State as erroneously stated by Chief Charles Nwanyanwu in what it described as his paid press statement.

PRESS STATEMENT TITLED
“”POLITICAL BUTTERFLIES SEEKING RELEVANCE””-FAILED ATTEMPT TO USE APGA PLATFORM TO ACTUALIZE THEIR BEGGARLY GOAL
The attention of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia State Chapter has been drawn to a baseless and unfounded news making the rounds in Abia State that APGA in Abia South senatorial zone has collapsed its structures into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State.
Therefore, APGA Abia State wishes to state in strong terms that the said report is an outright falsehood and the handiwork of few mischief makers who double as political paupers looking for what to eat and the only way they can feed their stomach is by peddling unfounded and baseless report in order to actualize their political greed and selfishness.
Without any fear of contradiction or equivocation, APGA wishes to state further that the party in Abia State is very intact, strong and formidable as all the APGA structures in the three political zones of Abia State are functioning optimally within their respective zones and in the State at large.
Therefore, the party remains very formidable and prepared to take over the Abia government house, come 2027. It is never in doubt that APGA as a major political party in Abia State has enjoyed relative peace across the 17 local government areas of the State since the ship wreck of Chief Njoku and his co-travelers in Abia State who wanted to reap where they did not sow.
For the avoidance of doubt and to put the records straight, we wish to state unequivocally for the benefit of all Abians and the general public that Chief Charles Nwanyanwu who was mentioned as the originator of the baseless and unfounded news is not a member of APGA as his name is not in APGA ward register in ward 6, Aba South where he comes from.
The said Chief Charles Nwanyanwu resigned from APGA since 2020 and joined PDP and the party record from his ward 6 in Aba South L G A shows that he has not been readmitted into the party after his resignation in 2020.
Therefore, we categorically state that Chief Charles Nwanyanwu will be described as an impostor who thinks that he can achieve cheap political goal by unlawfully using the name of APGA to earn peanuts by peddling unfounded and baseless rumor that APGA in Abia South Senatorial zone has collapsed its structure into ADC.
The said Chief Charles Nwanyanwu is not a member of APGA let alone parading himself as the zonal chairman of the party In-Charge of Abia South. At best the gathering at Aba led by Chief Nwanyanwu can best be described as a gathering of political jobbers who were recruited by one Edozie Njoku and his co-travelers to cause confusion in APGA and when it was clear to them that APGA is not open for political merchandise, they shamefully disappeared into thin air and were buried in their shame.
It is therefore instructive to state that APGA in Abia State has been intact and performing well under the able leadership of Elder Ambassador Sunday Onukwubiri as the State Chairman. There is no crisis in APGA from the Wards down to the Local Government Areas and in the State as erroneously stated by Chief Charles Nwanyanwu in his paid press statement.
We wish to further reiterate the fact that APGA is the political landlord in Aba and we have a distinguished senator in the person of Senator Enyi Abaribe who represents Abia South Senatorial zone as well as Alex Ikwechegh, member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
Thus, it will not be out of place to boldly state that APGA structures in Abia South Senatorial Zone under the leadership of Chief Lucky Erondu (Onye Eze) is unshakable with his formidable and reliable Local Government Chairmen in the Zone working tirelessly as a team to promote the ideals of the party within the Zone. These Local Government Chairmen includes Hon. Victor Urom for Aba North, Hon. Chinagorom Nwanyanwu for Aba South, Hon. Joshua Chidiebere for Obingwa, Hon. Samuel Nwohu for Ukwa East, Chief Lazarus Nnanta for Ugwunagbo and Pastor Emeka Stephen for Ukwa West.
Furthermore, APGA may not want to join issues with the self acclaimed State Chairman of ADC in Abia State on his uncomplimentary language against APGA in Abia State as doing so will amount to promoting and marketing an unmarketable product.
APGA therefore enjoins all Abians and the general public to disregard the false and malicious statement released by those we described as desperate and inconsequential political urchins looking for their daily bread. And it is obvious that these bunches of political liabilities cannot have a better way and means of achieving their petty and cheap purpose without claiming to be what they are not.
We therefore call on the Commissioner of Police Abia State to immediately arrest Chief Charles Nwanyanwu and his fellow political urchins for committing offence of impersonation and fraudulent misrepresentation by using the name of APGA in the State to deceive the general public for their selfish pecuniary gain.
We are bold to state that the gathering where the baseless press statement was made was a gathering of butterflies as far as APGA is concerned and such gathering cannot in any way affect the success of APGA in Abia South Senatorial Zone, let alone the State.
Long live APGA ! Long live Abia State.
Barr. Chukwuemeka Nwokoro
State Publicity Secretary.
