NOA calls for collective action against Gender Based Violence in Nigeria

The State Director National Orientation Agency (NOA)Abia State, Mrs Regina Iroha has called for a collective action against GENDER BASED VIOLENCE-in the country.


Mrs Iroha who made the call during an interactive session she had with members of the Press in Umuahia said the right and dignity of the woman should be protected and defended at all times.

The NOA Director said as the world celebrates the 2024 international year for the elimination of violence against women, the general public should stand united in the fight against GENDER BASED VIOLENCE.

She urged women to report any form of molestation or battering against them to the National Human Right Commission to seek for redress.


Mrs Iroha said as part of the 16- days of activism NOA will visit Schools, traditional rulers and major stakeholders in the State.

Speaking earlier on Family Love FM monitored by Dailytrailnews, the Abia Director of NOA maintained that at the end of the 16-day event the agency hopes to see a more enlightened society in Abia that will collaboratively work towards ending GBV in the state.
