Ukwa East/West Rep Nkwonta commends Tinubu on establishment of SEDC, expresses optimism over Nnamdi Kanu’s release

The Member representing Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Chris Nkwonta has called on political stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Abia South to unite and grow the party as well as endeavor to see that the party wins elections in the 2027 general election.

Hon. Nkwonta who made this known during an Agenda Setting Meeting of APC members in Abia South Senatorial Zone comprising of Aba North, Aba South, Ugwunagbo, Ukwa East, Ukwa West and Obingwa, which held at his country home Akwete, maintained that APC in Abia South must galvanize to win elections across board in 2027 stressing that this can only be achieved through membership drive and party dominance as he called on them to bring in more committed members into the party.

The Ukwa East/West Rep Member commended President Bola Tinubu for establishment of South East Development Commission SEDC and removal of subsidy upon assumption of office, stressing that the President by that act, he has taken wealth from a few individuals to redistribute to the masses.

Hon. Nkwonta who is the House Committee Chairman; South East Development Commission spoke on the benefits of having the commission established as he expressed optimism that insecurity in the southeast will be tackled through creation of jobs and that Nnamdi Kanu will be eventually released.

Dailytrailnews reports that the meeting saw the convergence of a mammoth crowd including the who is who in the Abia APC namely: APC State Secretary Chidi Avajah representing the state Chairman; Kingsley Ononugbo, Former Rep Member Uzor Azubuike, former House Member Abraham Obah, former ASOPADEC Chairman Chief Emeka Stanley, former Deputy Chief of Staff; office of the Deputy Governor Sir Sir Don Ubani amongst others.

The Stakeholders all in one voice recognized Hon. Nkwonta as the political leader of APC in Abia South as they pledged to ensure that the ultimate goal of winning elections for the party in 2027 is achieved.
