Priscilla Otti empowers 120 Abia Youths with agricultural facility

Wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Priscilla Otti has called on Youths in the State to embrace Agriculture as a path way to prosperity and eliminate poverty.


Mrs Otti made the call during the training/empowerment of some beneficiaries of a program tagged: “Youth Agricultural support program”, under the Renewed Hope initiative, sponsored by office of Wife of the President Mrs Oluremi Tinubu in collaboration with office of Wife of the State Governor.


The event featured the empowerment of about one hundred and twenty youth from the 17 LGAs of the State.


The Abia First Lady while describing Agriculture as the back bone of the economy, expressed her committed to empowering young people and Communities through sustainable Agricultural programs to elevate their livelihoods.


Mrs Otti, represented by Wife of the Deputy Governor Mrs Adaeze Emetu, appreciated the skilled trainers and facilitators of the program for their pivotal roles, and encouraged the beneficiaries to stay focused and remain open to new ideas to make a lasting impact in the Agricultural sector.

Speaking also, the Commissioner for Agriculture Dr. Cliff Agbaeze encouraged the Youths to live up to the expectations of the program.

One of the beneficiaries Miss Joan Chikezie who highlighted some of what they have learnt in the training, appreciated Mrs Tinubu and Mrs Priscilla otti for the initiative and the opportunity and promised to utilize the knowledge effectively.
