Onuigbo mourns death of late President General, Women’s Wing, Olokoro Clan Development Union

Member representing the South East on the Governing Board of the North East Development Commission Chief Sam Onuigbo has condoled the women and people of Olokoro, Umuahia South LGA, Abia State on the demise of the immediate past President General Olokoro Clan Development Union , Women’s wing, Mrs Oluchi Atu.


Speaking at Olokoro during the funerals of the deceased, the former National Assembly Member that represented Ikwuano/ Umuahia North/ Umuahia South Federal Constituency, described her death as a big loss to the Community, Local Government and Abia State, pointing out that her leadership was, patriotic, legendary and exemplary.


Chief Onuigbo who recalled his personal relationship with Late Mrs Oluchi Atu as she piloted the affairs of Olokoro women, noted that the best way to immortalize and recognize her contributions to community development was by ensuring continued peace in the area which she stood for.


He therefore called on Olokoro women in particular and the citizens in general to throw their weight behind the new President General, Mrs Emily Ugwu in the task of leading the community to more successes.


The member North East Development Commission described Olokoro people as special and exceptional, stressing that the community is blessed in all ramifications with notable personalities and talents that could always push for the good of the people.


Chief Onuigbo prayed God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and assured that he will always identify with them and the Olokoro Clan.
