NNPP Governorship Candidate Ukpai Iro defects to LP, leads other top party members
The Governorship Candidate and Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Abia State during the 2023 General Election, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai has defected to the Labour Party (LP).
A statement by Ukoha Njoku Ukoha; the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Alex Otti said Dr Ukpai led his Running Mate, Bar. Chiedozie Josiah, a Chieftain of the Party in the State, Chief David Urum, Candidates of the Party during the last Election, several Leaders and Members of the NNPP into the Labour Party, citing the Developmental Strides of the State Governor Dr. Alex Otti as the motivation for decamping.
