The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike has officially launched its Business School and inaugurated its Board of Directors alongside a Management Team, marking a significant step toward advancing leadership, entrepreneurship, and policy development.

Speaking at the inauguration held at the University’s New Lecture Hall, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Maduebibisi Iwe, described the Business School as a strategic platform designed to serve as a hub for leadership development, executive education, entrepreneurship, and policy engagement.

According to Prof. Iwe, the MOUAU Business School represents a deliberate shift toward interdisciplinary thinking and real-world impact, while remaining firmly rooted in the institution’s core values of excellence, integrity, and service, stressing that the school symbolizes continuity and progress.

The outgoing Vice Chancellor, however, stressed that a vision of such magnitude requires sustained collaboration and support.

He called on board members, alumni, industry leaders, development partners, and government agencies to partner with the University through infrastructure support, scholarships, research funding, and international linkages to transform the school into a globally competitive institution.
