Mama Rose Eluwa laid to rest as accolades, encomium pour in
It was indeed a celebration of life as family, friends and well-wishers gathered to witness the final laying to rest of Chief Mrs. Ugonze Rose Eluwa in her hometown of Ahiaba Okpuala Isialangwa North Local Government Area of Abia State on the 9th day of May 2024.
The somber but celebratory event saw the convergence of dignitaries from all walks of life present to bid their final farewell to Mama Eluwa who was aged 97.
Speaking to Dailytrailnews, the first grand-daughter of the deceased, a registered Nurse with Penn Medicine Pennsylvania, USA Mrs. Blessing Nwadinma Cecil Kalu expressed happiness that Mama was now resting adding that her grandmother was a lovely person who had an impact on everyone that crossed her path.

Mrs. Blessing who is married to her US-based husband, an Artiste Don Cecil with so many songs to his credit one of which is “I am Africa” featuring Idris Abdul Kareem, maintained that Mama’s life is worthy of emulation by those still living.

Also speaking, the man of the moment, the only Child of the deceased, a Retired Deputy Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Agbakwuru Dike 1 of Ngwaukwu Chief Samuel Oyibo Eluwa expressed happiness that his mother lived a good life and has left a legacy for others to follow.

Earlier, during the funeral service at St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church Ahiaba Okpuala Parish Diocese, Isialangwa North Local Government Area, the Officiating Clergy Venerable Kenneth Obinna Onunka, who is the Arch-Deacon and Vicar of the Parish, preached on the topic “live a purpose life” which he said was taken from Acts: 9 centered around allowing God to lead and direct one as exemplified by Mama when she was alive in imitation of Apostle Paul.

Dailytrailnews reports that the event saw the presence of the current Comptroller of Immigration Service Abia State Command Alhaji Mohammed Kirfi alongside other top shots in the NIS and other members of society who came to say their final goodbyes to Mama Ugonze Rose Eluwa.
