I’m contesting to rescue Abia – APC gov candidate
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State, Ikechi Emenike, says he is contesting to rescue and develop the state.
Emenike stated this weekend when he met with party stakeholders in Umuahia, stating “we want to remove evil from the affairs of the state”.
Emenike highlighted what he will do including renewing the state capital and bringing in a new Abia, give the youths quality jobs, establishing banks with branches in the 17 LGAs, and setting up insurance, mortgage and pension companies.
Others he said, include opening job opportunities in Abuja and Lagos for Abia youths, sending Abia youths to foreign countries where they are needed as well as improving the standard of education in the state, stating “I know what it means to employ people and pay them salaries, pension and gratuities”.
He said “It has reached the level when we will say, enough is enough.
“Salaries and pension are not paid now. When the land is bad, it affects all women who are homemakers.
“This is a government of Satan and the people of God will collectively revive the state.
“Since 1999, parties have kept Abia like this and the state has not changed. Abia must leave that route for another.
“My government is not coming to share money. PDP, APGA, LP and some of them in APC will convey a meeting with three agenda; opening prayer, Ikechi Emenike and closing prayer. Soon they will go.”
He further stated “There will be an Abia where if you owe workers and pensioners for three months, you will cease to be the governor.
“First month, I will sack the Accountant General, second month, will sack the commissioner for Finance before the third month when I will leave”, adding “I don’t believe in zoning. Let the best rule now.”
