Gov Otti commends Bishop Onuoha on hosting Icons Music show, says peace oriented events necessary for development in Abia

The atmosphere was charged on Sunday November 19th, as SS3 student of Queen of Peace Secondary school Mbano Imo state, Mary Joseph won the 2023 and 10th edition of Vision Africa Icons music reality show.


Speaking at the event, Governor Alex Otti said it takes a man of Vision to do what Bishop Sunday Onuoha is doing, as a man of potentials which is in line with God purposes.


Governor Otti who was represented by his Chief of staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba during the grand finale of 2023 Icons music reality show on the theme “let there be peace” held at Michael Okpara auditorium Umuahia, commended the organisers of the competition.


Otti said he would not mind any distraction but to deliver to Abians.


He said that a new Abia is here and thanked the special adviser to the Governor on entertainment, J Martins.

The special guest at the event and member representing Isukwuato Umunneochi federal constituency, Amobi Ọgah described the theme as powerful and called on Abians to join hands because God has started it by giving Abia Dr Alex Otti who is a man of peace.


He appreciated the Chief of staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba and special adviser to the Governor on trade commerce and industry Chief Nwaka Inem.


The federal law maker thanked Bishop Onuoha for the Icons, saying that such magnitude of events are being enjoyed in Lagos and portharcourt.

The president of Vision Africa international Bishop Sunday Onuoha said the theme was chosen because when there is peace, there will be development, fellowship and investors will come.

Onuoha who harped on quality character building, said he believes that whatever one is doing without character is bankruptcy.
According to him, the peace being witnessed in Abia should be promoted collectively.

Chairman of the occasion, and Abia State Chairman Christian association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Ojo Ojo Uduma appreciated Vision Africa for promoting peace and urged all to join the Organisation to push peace further in the State.


While contestant number 10, Nwakwe Victor came second, Aso Chidinma took third position.

Responding, Mary Joseph who could not hide her Joy praised God for granting her success.
