Encomium as Hon. Chidi Nwosu buries Mother late Ezinneanyi Dorcas Nwosu

Former Member Abia House of Assembly and a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in the state Hon. Chidi Nwosu has buried his mother late Chief Mrs. Dorcas Akumegbulam Nwosu who died at the ripe age of 94 and was buried on Thursday 21st of Dec. 2023.


The funeral which saw the gathering of family, friends and loved ones from all walks of life, party stalwarts, government functionaries amongst others also witnessed the pouring of encomium on the deceased from those present as they emphasized on the upright and life worthy of emulation that Mama lived to the admiration of all.


Speaking to Dailytrailnews, Hon. Nwosu said he feels every sense of fulfillment knowing that his mother lived an upright and selfless life.

Also speaking, the last child of the late Mama Dorcas, Chief Kelechi Nwosu eulogized Mama as he recalled her good virtues and qualities.

Sir Uchenna Lemi Nwabueze, a close relative to the late Mama Dorcas eulogized the deceased and said he was consoled by the fact that the children really took care of Mama while she was alive.

Earlier in his sermon, the Officiating Minister, Venerable Okwukwe Uche-Agwu of the Methodist Church Nigeria, described funeral ceremony as a time of reflection for everyone still living.


Taking his Bible reflection from 1st Thessalonians 4:13 -15, the minister harped on the need to overcome the fear of death as he maintained that those alive can have a secure future without dreading death through their faith in God.

Dailytrailnews reports that political bigwigs, Traditional Rulers and their wives and other dignitaries who graced the occasion include Sen. Dr. Chris Adighije, Pastor Emeka Enyema, Sir Tony Ezebiro, HRH Eze B.I. Izuogu, Hon. Chijioke Nwachukwu amongst others.
