Bureau of Due Process & Public Procurement set to rake in more revenue for Abia
The Bureau of Due Process & Public Procurement is set to rake in more revenue for the State.
The Head of the bureau and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process & Public Procurement, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu made the assertion while interacting with newsmen shortly after leading the management team of the bureau to the 2025 Budget defence at the State Planning Commission.
According to Dr. Chukwu, the Bureau is expected to generate revenue for the State through carrying forward the registration of contractors and vendors who intend doing business with Abia State Government.
He further revealed that while the agency has already keyed into the development agenda of the State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, going forward from last year’s achievements, it has set a proper foundation for the year ahead at the bureau.
The SSA to the Governor stated the readiness of the bureau to formulate policies to guide Procurement in Abia State thereby deepening the roles of the bureau as enshrined in the Abia State Procurement law of 2012.
Dr. Chukwu hoped that with the budget estimate approved, more encouragements, partnership and support will enable the bureau to continue stirring the ship of Due Process in the State and appreciated the Budget committee for dovetailing the kind of leadership we have in the State Government which only Dr. Alex Otti can provide.
