2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Otti lays wreath, pledges unwavering support for uniformed men operating in Abia
Abia state governor Dr Alex Otti has pledged his administrations commitment to always provide needed resources in support of men and women of the armed forces operating in Abia.
Governor Otti re-echoed this pledge at the Aguiyi Ironsi cenotaph Umuahia during ceremonies marking the 2025 armed forces remembrance day.
The armed forces remembrance day is an annual event in Nigeria. It captures a series of events geared towards recognising the sacrifices of men of the nations armed forces and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of Nigeria.
The Governor at the event took time to recognise security men who lost their lives in Abia within the past year.
The ceremony witnessed the laying of wreath at the cenotaph by the Governor Dr. Alex Otti, Commander of the 14th Brigade of the Nigerian Army, commander of the Nigerian Navy School of finance and logistics, the commissioner of police, State Chairman of the Nigerian legion amongst others.
